Currently, mobile phones are allowed inside Srirangam Temple - a privilege not available in many major temples like Tirupati, Guruvayur, and Sabarimala where phones must be deposited outside.
However, many devotees unknowingly take photos and videos in restricted areas (sanctum, sannidhis) where it's strictly prohibited.
If this continues, the temple administration may be forced to ban mobile phones entirely - just like other temples have done.
If we use this privilege responsibly, the current liberal policy can continue forever.

Yes, there is a locker and bag storage facility near the main South entrance (Ranga Ranga Gopuram). You can safely deposit your phone, camera, bags, and other belongings there.
