Appropriate traditional attire is expected at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple as a mark of respect to the deity.
Important
Traditional dress is mandatory for entering the main sanctum (Garbhagriha) and for special darshans. Devotees in western attire may be restricted to outer prakarams only.

General Rules
- Remove footwear at designated areas before entering temple
- Mobile phones should be on silent mode
- Photography is not allowed inside the main sanctum
- Avoid carrying leather items into the temple
- Wash feet before entering (water facilities available)
- Men may be asked to remove shirt for certain sevas
- Menstruating women traditionally avoid temple visit (personal choice)
Dress Rental Available
If you don't have traditional attire, rental services are available near the temple:
- Dhoti and Angavastram rental: Rs. 20-50
- Available at shops near East and North gates
- Return before leaving; security deposit may be required
