Chandrapushkarini is the primary Theertham (sacred tank) of Srirangam, more sacred than even the Kaveri for temple rituals. Located near Sri Kodandaramar sannidhi in the 4th prakaram, it has a circular shape. The sacred Punnai tree (Stala Vriksham) stands nearby. Throughout the year, during all utsavams, Namperumal comes here for Theerthavari.
