The sacred gateway opened only during Vaikunta Ekadasi (December/January). Devotees believe passing through this gate grants moksha (liberation). Thousands queue for hours to pass through.
Significance
Opens only once a year on Vaikunta Ekadasi. One of the most sacred events in South Indian Vaishnavism.
விவரம்
வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி (டிசம்பர்/ஜனவரி) அன்று மட்டும் திறக்கப்படும் புனித வாசல். இதன் வழியே செல்வோர் மோக்ஷம் அடைவர் என்பது நம்பிக்கை. ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோர் மணிக்கணக்கில் காத்திருப்பர்.
