About Oonjal Utsavam (Swing Festival)
During Oonjal Utsavam (Dolotsavam), the processional deities are placed on a beautifully decorated swing. Devotees sing devotional songs while the deity is gently swung. Multiple temples celebrate this - main temple, Kamalavalli Nachiyar, and Thiruvellarai.
