तेप्पम (नौका उत्सव)

Unique water festival where the processional deities are taken on a decorated float (Theppa) on the temple tank. The illuminated float creates a magical evening spectacle.

Theppam or Theppotsavam is celebrated in the temple tank (Chandrapushkarini). The deities are placed on a beautifully decorated float illuminated with lamps. The float is rowed around the tank while vedic chants and music fill the air. The reflection of lights on water creates an ethereal atmosphere.
